03 / FAQ

Frequently asked

Can I convert HEIC to JPG / PNG?

Yes — HEIC images (such as iPhone photos) are decoded in the browser and can be converted to JPG, PNG, or WebP. Batch processing is supported, so you can convert many HEIC files at once.

Can I resize multiple images at once?

Yes — drop multiple images, apply the same size and format settings, and process them all together. The output is delivered as a ZIP file.

Can I keep the aspect ratio?

Yes — toggle the lock icon and width/height stay proportional. Unlock to deform freely.

Is PNG transparency preserved?

If the output is PNG or WebP, transparency is preserved as-is. JPG does not support transparency by spec, so transparent areas are filled with white.

Will quality degrade?

Downsizing uses bilinear interpolation for smooth scaling. JPG output exposes a quality slider, ranging from visually near-lossless to heavily compressed. PNG and WebP keep lossless or high-quality output.

Is there a file size limit?

No explicit limit. That said, browser memory is finite — images well above 20 MP (~4500×4500 px) may slow down.

How are my files handled?

Everything runs in your browser. Files are never sent to SideKit's servers or any third-party service. Your output is saved directly to your device.

Can I use this commercially?

Yes — the tool is free for commercial use. Just make sure you have rights to the input images yourself.
